Take a ferry from Port Hardy and explore the exciting Inside Passage and the northern British Columbia coast. An adventure in itself, the Inside Passage and Discovery Coast Passage ferries travel to towns on the mainland, including Prince Rupert, aboard the Northern Adventure, and Bella Coola, aboard the Queen of Chilliwack.

From Port Hardy, travel north through the Inside Passage. Sail between islands and the mainland en route to Prince Rupert. From there, visitors can also travel west to Skidegate and Alliford Bay on the Queen Charlotte Islands. The Inside Passage is a calm route, and has been frequented by travellers for centuries.

Port Hardy is also a great place to start your visit of small coastal communities. With regular service during the summer only, the Discovery Coast Passage ferry takes visitors from Port Hardy to several unique communities on the BC coast, including Bella Coola, Ocean Falls, Shearwater, Klemtu and Bella Bella.
